As a result of the demand and interest this new 12v television has generated since it's release, we took one away for the weekend to see how it performs in the field. The results were excellent - even in high glare and from wide angles the set has a really sharp picture, something which tends to get lost in these conditions with conventional LCD TVs, and it really is the ideal size for any mobile application ie caravan, truck, motor home etc. Its low power consumption (appox 2.5 amps) doesn't put much pressure on the battery, and the sound is great, especially as we we're used to listening to either a small battery powered radio or a laptop, neither of which even come close to this. For technology fans out there, the ability to plug the set into your laptop and watch films or listen to music stored on your laptop without the need for mains is quite amazing, as is the memory card reader for reviewing the days photos on a large screen.
