Who can drive motorhomes and campers?

Anyone between the ages of 25 and 75 can hire from us, UK resident or not, as long as you have 2 years driving experience.

UK residents must have 6 points or less and 2 years driving experience. Of course you must have some experience of driving larger vehicles!

We try to keep our insurance extra's to a minimum, but our insurers impose a £5.00 per day surcharge on anyone with 6 points on their licence, 3 points is no problem. We make this charge on collection date if it is necessary.

Some of our vehicles require Category C (over 3500kg) on your licence, if you passed your test in the UK since 1992, you will not have this entitlement. We have tried to make sure that most of our fleet is below this limit. You can see all the motorhomes and campers below 3500kg.

If you are renting from outside the UK, you will be unable to hire a vehicle with a weight exceeding 3500kg as you will not have this entitlement, please choose from the motorhomes and campervans below 3500kg. You will also be subject to a slightly higher excess of £750 if you do not hold a UK licence.

Of course we will always try and get you covered, feel free to call us if you have convictions which you are concerned about. We may also be able to arrange self insurance for longer durations when you hire a campervan.
